People are “getting tired” of partisan bickering, claims Republican gubernatorial nominee Byron Donalds.
He says they want practical solutions over pitched polemic.
“One of the things I think is also going to start occurring. I think it really comes from people. I think people are kind of getting over being mad at their family member because of who they supported,” the Congressman from Naples said on this week’s “A Day in Miami” podcast.
“I think Americans just want to just be Americans again. And I think that’s a healthy thing, but that takes leadership across the board,” Donalds added. “When I talk to Democrats who are supporting me, (they say) the reason why I’m supporting you is because you just seem like you’re just normal and you’re relatable. And you just want to talk about the issues.”
Donalds acknowledged that “every now and again” he will “get on the Democrats” if “their policy is really dumb.”
“But at the end of the day, it’s about people. It’s about how you improve their lives,” Donalds said.
Donalds ran a partisan campaign to get the Republican nomination, but as is usually the case, he’s attempted to reclaim the center against Democratic nominee David Jolly, who himself is a former Republican member of Congress.

I agree wholeheartedly with Byron Donalds’ statement that “Americans just want to be Americans again.” He, however, is not the man to lead us to that goal. He is full-blown MAGA and his allegiance will always be to that movement which has torn this country apart with its insane and cruel culture wars.
David Jolly is a truly decent man with no hidden agendas. He is the one who will help Floridians regain some sense of bipartisanship and sanity,

Jolly, the same guy that has been registered “everything” depending on where the grift leads him. The guy that voted AGAINST the Affordable Care Act. The guy that lobbied for oil drilling of the Coast of Florida. The guy that blames Black Democrats for his failures and ignores black democrat women. Yeah that guy. Dems are being Trojan Horsed by Jolly and wont ever trust him.

This reads like an Onion story. Candidate denounces partisan bickering while engaging in partisan bickering. Byron will do everything to win this election including partisan bickering if he thinks it’ll help him beat Jolly.
